This after recent reports of phone scams in the province. Mounties say in one of them, the scammer claims to be from your bank and tells you someone has made fraudulent charges on your account. Some victims were convinced to go to various stores to buy pre-paid gift cards. “Scammers can be very persistent and convincing,” police say in a news release. “Being defrauded is never the victim’s fault.” “If you have been defrauded, you are not alone. Please report it to your local police.” Scams can also be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or online. 5 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Nova Scotia sees 40% drop in legal marijuana prices since 2019 next post You may also like Police involved in power pole crash while chasing... 28 أبريل، 2026 Three drivers in HRM charged with stunting 2026 Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in... 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
