Man attempts to rob woman in Highfield Park apartment lobby

The man approached the woman and demanded her bag on Thursday evening

A man attempted to rob a woman in a Highfield Park apartment building lobby on Thursday evening.

Halifax Regional Police responded to the incident around 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 11. The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive in Dartmouth.

The man approached the woman in the apartment building’s lobby, threatened her with what appeared to be a firearm and demanded her bag.

“The man fled the area on foot empty-handed,” an HRP news release says. “The woman was not physically injured.”

He’s described as a white man in his 20s with a medium build and thick black eyebrows.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a scarf-style black face mask, dark pants along with a light jacket that had blue and yellow patches.

He was also wearing one black sneaker and one white sneaker.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
