This week’s Halifax Regional Council meeting will be in-person

Anyone wanting to attend in-person will need to show proof they’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19

The mayor and councillors are returning to city hall.

As of Tuesday, Halifax Regional Council will once again be meeting in-person.

Mask will be required at all times, unless the Chair has called on them to speak.

Anyone wanting to attend in-person will need to show proof they’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, along with a government issued ID.

Members of the public will also have the option watch a livestream of the meetings through HRM’s YouTube page, and participate by phone.

“Halifax City Hall has the capability to provide a phone-in option during meetings of Regional Council; however, this is not the case for all locations where other meetings are held,” HRM said in a news release.

“Depending on the technological abilities of the meeting room, other meeting types – including community councils, standing committees, advisory boards, committees, commissions and public hearings – may return to in-person meetings, may continue virtually or may take place both virtually and in-person.”
