Halifax’s Hopscotch Arts Festival runs from Sept. 23 to 26. “It’s a free event and a chance to come down, celebrate community and the hip hop community in general, which is something we don’t always get to do at some of our HRM events,” explained Billy Comer, the municipality’s civic events coordinator. “We noticed this 10 years ago, there was a gap in our schedule and we weren’t catering to youth enough,” he told NEWS 95.7’s Todd Veinotte Show last week. “We believe this is the festival that does cater to youth.” Comer said the four day event will be brimming with talent, including headliners Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red). “These guys are incredible, they came for New Year’s a few years back,” he said. “The new alias and the new project is powerful, and I also think it’s extremely relevant right now in this day and time. We’re really excited to host them.” “We also have DIJAHSB from Toronto and TONA from Toronto, who is actually considered one of Drake’s favourite rappers. He’s a legend in Toronto and has been around the scene for a long time mentoring artists.” More information can be found on Instagram or the Hopscotch Arts Festival website. 6 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Made-in-Canada cleaning robots increasingly visible amid pandemic next post Seniors advocate wants vaccination policy for long-term care home workers You may also like Police involved in power pole crash while chasing... 28 أبريل، 2026 Three drivers in HRM charged with stunting 28 أبريل، 2026 كندا لا تزال تراجع خطتها لشراء مقاتلات ’’إف... 28 أبريل، 2026 كارني يُعلن إنشاء أوّل صندوق سيادي للثروة الوطنية... 28 أبريل، 2026 Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in... 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
