According to a social media post by the Marine Animal Response Society (MARS), earlier this week they were told that a dead endangered blue whale had been found floating in the Sambro area. By Thursday morning, it had washed ashore and responders with the group were able to collect research samples from the 82 foot long animal. “Please remember that while this is an amazing animal that people may want to visit, it is also a federally protected species under the Species At Risk Act and it is illegal to disturb the carcass or remove any body parts,” MARS said in its post. “Feel free to look at the animal but please do not touch and be sure to keep back a safe distance.” 5 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post أمل مرقس \ حوار مع الفنان فراس روبي مخرج العمل الفني الجدید: مسرحية المايسترو| next post Halifax’s airport to commemorate 20th anniversary of September 11 You may also like Diesel prices to shift again in Nova Scotia... 6 March، 2026 Halifax Water investigating ‘privacy incident’ on its online... 6 March، 2026 Halifax teens lament the loss of government program... 6 March، 2026 Spring Garden area businesses call out paid parking... 6 March، 2026 ‘A terrible idea’: Halifax to raise parking fees,... 6 March، 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
