On Aug. 27 around 11:45 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a number of people who were involved in the fight on Grafton Street. HRP says the fight took place in the 1700 block of Grafton Street, somewhere between Prince and Carmichael streets. “The physical confrontation had ended prior to police arriving on scene,” an HRP news release says. “Officers located an injured man who was taken to hospital for treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.” The 22-year-old was arrested in the area and will face the following charges in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date: Assault Assault causing bodily harm Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death Causing a disturbance The matter remains under investigation.
