Traveller ticketed $2,422 under Health Protection Act

Police are reminding everyone to follow the current public health measures

A man was handed a $2,422 ticket Tuesday at Halifax Stanfield International Airport under the Health Protection Act.

Halifax Regional Police say the traveller had refused to follow required public health measures for those entering the province.

“HRP is reminding everyone to follow the current public health measures related to the COVID-19 emergency,” said police in a news release.

“We strongly advise members of the public to continue to educate themselves on these public health directives and COVID-19 enforcement measures.”
