Penhorn Lake Beach reopens to swimmers

HRM says follow-up tests show the water is safe again

Halifax Regional Municipality says swimmers can once again head to Penhorn Lake Beach.

Earlier tests at the swimming spot indicated high bacteria levels in the water, but HRM says follow-up tests show the water is safe again.

The water quality at all supervised and one unsupervised beach in HRM is regularly tested throughout the summer season.

Residents can check the status of their favourite municipal beach online.
