In an effort to keep COVID-19 under control in Nova Scotia, Public Health Mobile Units provide easier access to testing. Testing people who show no symptoms of COVID-19 (asymptomatic testing) is one of the main tools that has helped limit COVID-19 spread in Nova Scotia. Nova Scotians and visitors to our Province are reminded that even if you have mild symptoms like a sore throat, a runny/congested nose or headache, you should get tested for COVID-19. Testing is free and available to all ages and all visitors. The Public Health Mobile Units will be available for drop-in testing at the following locations: Central Zone Halifax Transit Bridge Terminal (24 Nantucket Avenue, Dartmouth) – outdoors Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Woodside Ferry Terminal (9 Atlantic Street, Dartmouth) – outdoors Thursday, Aug. 5 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Northern Zone Royal Canadian Legion Elmsdale Branch 48 (850 Hwy 2, Elmsdale) Wednesday, Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5:p.m. Western Zone Blockhouse Fire Hall (510 NS-325, Blockhouse) Thursday, Aug. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Zone Ben Eoin Beach RV Resort (6140 East Bay Hwy, St. Andrews Channel) – outdoors Friday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. *Public Health Mobile Units offering testing outside are weather dependent. While there are no COVID-19 vaccines available at these testing clinics, Public Health team members are available to support you with booking your next vaccine appointment and can answer any questions you may have. Important notes when visiting the mobile unit: Unless you have symptoms you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your results, unless directly advised by Public Health to isolate. The testing method is standard PCR swab or Swish and Gargle for children and youth. Preparation is required for gargle testing. View instructions here. Please bring your health card with you, if you have one. When testing is offered outside, please dress accordingly. Public Health is encouraging all Nova Scotians to be tested regularly for COVID-19. If it has been over a week since your last test consider getting tested again, even if you are vaccinated. No vaccine is 100 per cent effective. As a result, Nova Scotians are encouraged to continue making testing a regular part of their routine. Nova Scotians now have the option to access their results online here. To be eligible to view results online, by email or by auto call, you need to bring a provincial health card or student ID with you to your testing appointment. It can take up to 72 hours to receive or access test results. It is not unusual for two or more family members to be tested at the same time and receive results at different times. Up-to-date information about COVID-19 is available here. In addition to media releases, all potential exposure notifications are listed here. 33 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Halifax author uncovers the secret to family adventures in Nova Scotia next post The difference between sex and gender, and why both matter in health research You may also like 2026 Liberals must show results in spring economic update:... 27 أبريل، 2026 Bayers Road blood collection clinic to reopen Tuesday 17 مارس، 2026 Thousands of power outages as rain and wind... 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
