CITYnews halifax: Halifax-area RCMP search for missing senior, subject of alert

The RCMP is asking for help finding a missing 71-year-old who was last seen in Lawrencetown on Wednesday.

Victor Andrews’s disappearance was the subject of an emergency alert that was sent out to Nova Scotians in the middle of the night.

Not much detail has been provided but according to the RCMP’s Halifax Regional Detachment, Andrews is said to walk with an uneven gate.

He is also 5-foot-8, balding with a grey beard and wears glasses.

Andrews was wearing a beige jacket and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Andrews is asked to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment or the local police of jurisdiction.
