• Thousands of people were missing after two major earthquakes struck Venezuela, with hundreds feared dead and many more left homeless.
• Canada announced an initial $5 million in humanitarian aid to support life-saving help, including emergency food, water and health care.
• Venezuela’s health minister said 235 people were confirmed dead as of Thursday evening. More than 1,500 were injured and another 200 are still trapped in the rubble as of this afternoon after the 7.2- and 7.5- magnitude quakes.
• The death toll could rise as high as 100,000, according to estimates from the U.S. Geological Survey….
