Empire, based in Stellarton, is the parent of several grocery chains, including Sobeys, Farm Boy, Safeway, IGA, Foodland and FreshCo, among others. Property controls are restrictions on the use of real estate that limit how a property can be used after it is sold, which can harm competition by making it difficult for businesses to open new stores. The bureau’s investigation into Sobeys and Loblaws locations in Halifax started in 2024. The competition watchdog said on Monday it had received a new Federal Court order to obtain company records, written information and oral testimony related to the probe. The bureau said the investigation is ongoing and there is no conclusion of wrongdoing. Empire did not immediately respond to a request for comment. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post في راديو كندا الدولي: عمدة مونتريال تدعو إلى تعزيز الرقابة على الأسلحة وشبكات التواصل next post CITYnews halifax: Nova Scotia failing to properly oversee addictions, mental health care, says auditor You may also like راديو كندا الدولي: كارني يودّع حليفاً مقرَّباً و’’صديقاً‘‘... 24 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي: كندا تشتري من أستراليا تكنولوجيا... 24 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Man suffers life-threatening injuries after shooting... 24 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Police investigating mayoral expenses flagged by... 24 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Nova Scotia failing to properly oversee... 24 يونيو، 2026 في راديو كندا الدولي: عمدة مونتريال تدعو إلى... 24 يونيو، 2026 RCI / Ottawa veut construire jusqu’à dix nouveaux... 23 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Les décès liés aux opioïdes ont... 23 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Un arrêt du TGV Québec-Toronto envisagé... 23 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Québec investit 610 millions $ pour... 23 يونيو، 2026
