CITYnews halifax :Halifax police investigate after man found on street with stab wounds

Regional police are investigating a stabbing that took place in Halifax on Friday.

At roughly 4:50 a.m., police responded to the 5600 block of Cunard Street to a report of an injured man lying on the street.

Officials said they found a 30-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

According to HRP, officers provided first-aid at the scene before the man was transported to the hospital by EHS with what are believed to serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is in the early stages and police are asking anyone with information or video from the area to contact HRP or Crime Stoppers.
