A man and two youths have been charged after a robbery with a weapon in downtown Truro.

The Truro Police Service says officers were called after midnight Friday to an incident downtown involving a suspect with a weapon. According to a post on social media, Truro Police say officers identified the suspects, resulting in the arrests of three people on Saturday.

A 20-year-old from Bible Hill has been charged with robbery, wearing a mask while committing an offence, theft and possession of a weapon.

He is also facing arson charges in relation to a small fire discovered on the steps of a business on Young Street.

Two 13-year-olds have also been charged with the same offences.

Truro Police say all three will appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.
