CITYnews halifax : Third suspect charged in sex trafficking investigation involving Nova Scotians

Nova Scotia RCMP have charged a third person in a human trafficking investigation with links to New Brunswick and Ontario.

According to a release from the RCMP, the investigation started in 2023 and that multiple victims from Nova Scotia were involved.

Two people were arrested in April connected to the investigation.

Mounties say a 38-year-old man was also arrested last Wednesday at a home in Dartmouth in relation to the charges.

The suspect is being charged with human trafficking, obtaining sexual services for consideration, among other charges.

He was released by police on conditions pending a first court appearance scheduled for June 22 at Dartmouth Provincial Court.

The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
