The Halifax Tides are back in action on Monday after being handed their first loss of the season.

On Wednesday, Halifax’s professional women’s soccer squad fell 2-0 against the surging Rapid FC in a cold, wet road game in Ottawa.

With the loss, the regular-season series between Ottawa and Halifax is tied at one apiece, each side claiming a victory on home soil.

The win marked Ottawa’s third straight home victory, marking that club’s impressive start to the 2026 Northern Super League campaign.

Tides FC will also be looking to return to the confident start of its season when the women take on Vancouver Rise FC at the Wanderers Grounds at 6 p.m.

While Halifax is sitting in 4th position in the NSL standings with 1-1-1, Vancouver remains in the league’s last spot with three straight losses on the season.
