Construction on the Tirupati Tri-Institutional Global Innovation Campus is planned in phases over the next decade. The campus in the eastern city of Tirupati is part of the federal push to connect Canada and India through innovation and research. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said in a release that the strategy will drive economic growth and reinforce the ties between the two countries. “We’re proud to be working with exceptional partners in IIT Tirupati and IISER Tirupati to build a collaboration that connects research, talent, and industry in ways that support shared prosperity in both Canada and India,” said Dalhousie President Kim Brooks in a statement on the university’s website. There are two separate agreements signed by the two partners. The first will see the support of a dual nursing degree program that includes credentials in both countries and clinical experience in Canada. This will help bring a potential pathway to nursing in Nova Scotia. More education stories: N.S.
