CITYnews halifax : Car crosses median, crashes on Hwy. 102 Wednesday afternoon

Multiple Halifax fire stations responded to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 102 eastbound on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 4:40 p.m. on July 29, Lower Sackville and Bedford’s fire stations responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 102 eastbound at distance marker 17, just past the Bedford Bypass.

According to Nova Scotia Fire on Facebook, the crash reportedly occurred when a vehicle lost control and went over the dividing median, into the opposite lane, collecting other vehicles, before landing on its side.

Emergency crews on scene cleared the accident site, and that portion of Highway 102 eastbound is now back up to speed as of 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Halifax Fire says in a post on X that no major injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
