Charlotte tops Nova Scotia’s most popular baby names of 2025

Service Nova Scotia says the most popular name given to newborns in the province in 2025 was Charlotte. The provincial agency says Charlotte was registered the most at 43, followed by Henry at 40, William at 38 and Noah at 33.

In 2024, Theodore was the most-used name, but it fell to the eighth spot this year.

Service Nova Scotia says as of Dec. 30, there were 7,184 registered births in the province, up by 30 from the 7,154 seen in 2024.

The province began registering births in 1864, with Mary and John listed as the two most popular names that year.
