Shortly after 11 a.m. on Nov. 26 police responded to a report of a man injured in the 2400 block of Gottingen St. in Halifax. The victim was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim was identified as 59-year-old Troy Clayton. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner deemed the death a homicide. As a result, Aaron James Johnson, 40, has now been charged with second degree murder. Johnson is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court Monday, Dec. 1. Police say they do not believe the incident was random.
