Firefighters’ quick action keeps tractor-trailer fire from spreading

A tractor-trailer caught fire on Highway 103 west of Halifax on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened between exits 6 and 5A Eastbound.

According to an email from the Halifax Professional Fire Fighters, the fire was contained to the cab thanks to a quick response from the crews at Station 56 in Black Point.

The highway was closed while crews put out the fire.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined, and no injuries were reported.
