According to the city, notices were issued on Wednesday to people sleeping rough at the Lower Flinn Park encampment, near Quinpool Road, instructing them to leave by Dec. 7. “As capacity for indoor shelters and supportive housing options continues to increase, the municipality is directing its focus away from the provision of designated locations and towards helping those experiencing homelessness access better indoor sheltering options,” read a release from the municipality. The decision follows a shooting at the Lower Flinn Park encampment in late October that left a man with life-threatening injuries. Police said the shooting was not a random incident. The city says as of Oct. 30, there were 59 tents and four trailers at the remaining designated encampments in the municipality. “The municipality remains committed to ensuring those sleeping rough are provided with better alternatives, working toward having safer, long-term housing options for everyone who needs them,” the statement read. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post MP Chris d’Entremont’s jump from Tories to Liberals sparks chatter across Nova Scotia next post تحرش رجل برئيسة المكسيك يثير غضب الشارع… ودعوى قضائية «من أجل النساء» You may also like Wilkie wins Canada’s first gold medal at Milan... 8 مارس، 2026 Iranian state TV says Mojtaba Khamenei, son of... 8 مارس، 2026 Missing police badge recovered in proactive traffic stop 8 مارس، 2026 Mooseheads win season series against Eagles 8 مارس، 2026 PM Carney calls federal by-elections for April in... 8 مارس، 2026 بمشاعر تتأرجح بين الارتياح والتوتر: كنديون يغادرون لبنان... 8 مارس، 2026 Diesel prices to shift again in Nova Scotia... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax Water investigating ‘privacy incident’ on its online... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax teens lament the loss of government program... 6 مارس، 2026 Spring Garden area businesses call out paid parking... 6 مارس، 2026
