On Saturday at roughly 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a bomb threat at the mall, where staff reported that a youth entered a store, handed someone a note saying they had a bomb, and then immediately left. Police said security began evacuating the mall immediately. According to HRP, officers found and arrested the suspect on scene and determined the threat was unfounded. A 13-year-old youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax youth court at a later date to face a charge of mischief. Another high-profile incident led to a man being charged with multiple offences. On Sunday, police were told of a robbery at a Sobeys in Dartmouth. At around 5:45 p.m. a man entered the store, demanded money from the cash register and threatened them with a knife. “The man was unsuccessful in getting any money from staff and left the store,” police said. When officers arrived, they found a man slashing tires in the parking lot.
