Halifax Regional Police said the leak was reported at roughly 1:30 p.m. in the area of Pinecrest Drive and Jackson Road in Dartmouth. This prompted an evacuation order for the area of Leaman Drive, west to Pinecrest Drive and Albro Lake Road, north to Crystal Drive. The province put out an emergency alert, saying four Halifax Transit buses were headed to the area to provide temporary shelter for people who had to evacuate. Nova Scotia Power also cut electricity to the surrounding area as a precaution while crews continued their work. At roughly 4:30 p.m., HRFE confirmed the gas leak was contained and the evacuation order was lifted shortly afterward. HRM said emergency crews remained on scene afterwards to monitor air quality and ensure it was safe for residents to return. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Charges laid after search warrants in Dartmouth, Eastern Passage next post كارني يوقّع على شراكة مع ألمانيا في مجال المعادن الحرجة You may also like Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026 Operating rooms closed at Victoria General after weekend... 10 مارس، 2026 Halifax considers asking province to create centralized dangerous... 10 مارس، 2026 RCMP in N.S. continue cannabis crackdown with more... 10 مارس، 2026 Cape Breton arts centre says tourism will be... 2026 Wilkie wins Canada’s first gold medal at Milan... 8 مارس، 2026 Iranian state TV says Mojtaba Khamenei, son of... 8 مارس، 2026 Missing police badge recovered in proactive traffic stop 8 مارس، 2026
