Charges laid after search warrants in Dartmouth, Eastern Passage

Police have arrested four people for drug and firearms offences after searching homes in Dartmouth and Eastern Passage.

On Aug. 19, Mounties executed search warrants at homes on Cow Bay Road and Serop Crescent in Eastern Passage and a home on Joseph Young Street in Dartmouth.

Police said they were able to seize two firearms with the serial numbers removed, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Four men were arrested during the operation including Daniel Michaud, 33, of Eastern Passage, and Jonathan Tibayan, 55, of Dartmouth.

They are each facing numerous charges including possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, tampering with a serial number and possession for the purpose of trafficking, among others.

Michaud and Tibayan were remanded into custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in September.

RCMP said a 56-year-old man and a 59-year-old man, both of Dartmouth, will appear in provincial court at a later date to face multiple charges.
