Last week, the province announced a $475,000 investment to help farmers increase their water supply by supporting projects including wells and ponds. Alicia King is the president of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and a farmer at Six Maples Farm in Antigonish. She says with a prolonged drought, farmers will need more supports going forward. “This is the point for us as the federation to continue to advocate for our members and all producers in the province that can’t make themselves available,” King explained. “People are feeding cows, people are trying to get water to a certain location.” King says the federation is currently working on putting together recommendations for the government to help producers make their way through this drought situation. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Dalhousie salaries have fallen 9% behind inflation: Faculty Association says next post Some homes lost in ‘devastating’ Annapolis County wildfire You may also like RCI : What it will take to restore... 16 يونيو، 2026 RCI : Canada cracking down on asylum claims...
