In a post on X, Halifax Regional Police said Summer is a peak season for construction and awareness is key to keeping yourself and workers safe. Police said people should always pay close attention to sign flaggers, be prepared to stop suddenly in construction zones, and give workers and equipment a safe amount of space. Drivers are also asked to keep calm when you meet construction traffic delays and never drive while distracted.
