(CityNews file) CANADAHALIFAX news New $500 fine introduced for illegal parking at Halifax hospitals by admin 11 يوليو، 2025 written by admin 11 يوليو، 2025 132 CITYnews halifax / By Chris Halef Anyone who parks illegally in hospital parking lots in Halifax could face a $500 fine. This is after the province created new regulations under the Motor Vehicle Act that will allow parking enforcement officers to issue tickets to vehicles parked illegally in the QEII Health Sciences Centre and the IWK Health Centre parking lots. “Free on-site parking at health facilities is for patients, visitors and authorized staff. We want to discourage drivers from parking at these sites without a valid reason and crowding out legitimate users,” said Michelle Thompson, Minister of Health and Wellness. “We hope this step will be a strong deterrent for anyone considering parking at a hospital or healthcare facility who is not seeking or providing care.” According to the province, the ticket amount is $536.60, but will be reduced to $500 if it is paid during the first 60 days after it is issued. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Police-involved shooting ends hours-long standoff in Fairmount next post ‘It’s undemocratic’: Council debates motion on strong mayor powers You may also like Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026 Operating rooms closed at Victoria General after weekend... 10 مارس، 2026 Halifax considers asking province to create centralized dangerous... 10 مارس، 2026 RCMP in N.S. continue cannabis crackdown with more... 10 مارس، 2026 Cape Breton arts centre says tourism will be... 2026 Wilkie wins Canada’s first gold medal at Milan... 8 مارس، 2026 Iranian state TV says Mojtaba Khamenei, son of... 8 مارس، 2026 Missing police badge recovered in proactive traffic stop 8 مارس، 2026
