Tentative deal averts strike at Atlantic School of Theology

A tentative agreement has been reached between the Atlantic School of Theology and its faculty association, averting a strike that had been set to begin Monday.

In a statement released late Sunday, the AST Faculty Association said discussions addressed job security, salary and preserving the school’s identity.

The agreement ensures that students’ academic activities will not be interrupted.

Details of the agreement will be made public following ratification by the AST Board of Governors and the faculty association’s membership.
