RCMP say two snowmobilers were riding across a pond on Feb. 21 in the western Newfoundland community of Port au Port, when one vehicle came to a stop and the male driver fell over. The driver of the other snowmobile checked on the man and discovered he was badly hurt. The man was taken to hospital with serous injuries that police say were not the result of a fall from a snowmobile. Police have issued several news releases asking for the public’s help in the case, and said today they made an arrest. The 66-year-old man was arrested at his home on Sunday, and he faces a charge of “attempting to commit murder where a firearm is used in the commission of the offence.” This report by The Canadian Press was first published March 17, 2025. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Former prime minister Brian Mulroney to be featured on Canada Post stamp next post Tolls lifted on Halifax Harbour bridges as of today You may also like 2025 N.S. advocates say bill to allow for uranium... 17 مارس، 2025 Metal detectors coming to Dartmouth General Hospital 17 مارس، 2025 Tolls lifted on Halifax Harbour bridges as of... 17 مارس، 2025 Former prime minister Brian Mulroney to be featured... 2025 Man faces long list of charges after standoff...
