Shortly after 7 a.m., Mounties and fire crews responded to a report of a house fire on Hwy. 215 in Shubenacadie where two occupants of the home, a 65-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman, managed to escape uninjured. But police said the third occupant, a 73-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
