RCMP officers, fire services and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 102 between exit 6 and 7. Officers learned that a Toyota Rav4 was travelling north when it left the roadway and ended in the ditch. The driver, a 20-year-old Halifax man was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was transported to hospital by LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
