Police are asking for help solving the murder of Timothy John Kelly, 15 years after he was killed in Halifax. The 44-year-old was found having been shot multiple times, on a sidewalk on Abbott Drive around 10 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2009. Kelly died after being rushed to hospital. Police say the investigation found Kelly had been in contact with family and friends earlier that evening. Related: Police ask for public’s help with North Preston homicide investigation Truro man wanted on province-wide arrest warrant Halifax police respond to 871 calls for service over the weekend “Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Timothy’s murder,” read a media release from police. “They are asking anyone with information, who has not already spoken with police to come forward with what they know; what may seem like an insignificant detail could be the key to progressing the investigation into Timothy’s murder.” The case is part of the major unsolved crimes reward program, which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
