The free passes will be available to all students in grades 7 to 12 in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education and CSAP. “Through the Student Transit Pass Pilot Program, we are making life more affordable for families,” said Becky Druhan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development. “The program gives students the independence to travel to and from school, as well as explore and learn about their community. And it promotes sustainability by getting students familiar with the public transit system.” Government says the program, which comes at a cost of $1.2 million from the province and $600,000 from Halifax, will see more than 28,000 students receive passes. Since 2021, the province had been running a pilot program of free transit passes at 10 schools. باريس تلاحق شقيق مؤسس تليغرام next post Nova Scotians overwhelmingly support cellphone bans in schools You may also like Premier Tim Houston reverses some budget cuts amid... 11 مارس، 2026 Budget cuts put seniors and vulnerable Nova Scotians... 11 مارس، 2026 Police charge pair linked to several robberies in... 11 مارس، 2026 Serial killer Allan Legere, New Brunswick’s ‘Monster of... 2026 Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026
