A man has been charged in connection to a stabbing that took place in Halifax’s north end on Tuesday night.

At roughly 10:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of an altercation on Gottingen Street where police found a man who had been stabbed by another man.

Police said the two men knew each other, adding the suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Carl Wendell Skeir, 56, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on Wednesday to face charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possess a weapon dangerous to public peace.
