Police search for missing kayaker in Long Lake Provincial Park

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a kayaker who is missing in the Long Lake Provincial Park area.

Police say officers were called about the missing 26-year-old woman around 12:40 p.m. yesterday with officers calling in ground search and rescue by 3 p-m.

She has been identified as Jashansdeep Kaur, a South Asian female with a slim build, long dark hair and around 5 feet tall.

She was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, black pants, with white and black sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
