The province announced today that it is investing over $400,000 in its income assistance payment to parents of children aged five to 18. The benefit has also been extended this year to include four-year-olds attending pre-primary this fall. Payments for children aged 13 to 18 will increase from $160 to $200 while those aged five to 12 will increase from $80 to $100 with payments expected by the end of the month. Children who turn four by the end of December and are eligible for pre-primary in the fall will now receive a $100 payment. There is no application required, according to the provincial government. In a release, Brendan Maguire, Minister of Community Services said the one-time payment “will help offset some of those (additional) costs for our clients, so they can focus on getting their children off to school.” 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Ernesto expected to track ‘well south’ of Nova Scotia: Canadian Hurricane Centre next post رضوان السيد يكتب عن: الاضطراب العربي بين الدول والتنظيمات You may also like Canadian Coast Guard crew member lost at sea... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 First American-born player unveiled as 36th captain of... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 Nova Scotia NDP accuse government of prioritizing landlord... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 Transport Canada orders plan to remove huge tidal... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 منعُ مدرّس في مونتريال من مواصلة التعليم لازدرائه... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 عمليات البدء في بناء منازل جديدة تراجعت 22,3%... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 تراجُع التضخم السنوي إلى 2,0%، هدفِ بنك كندا... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 Rogers acquires majority MLSE stake from Bell in... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 With strike over, Halifax Public Library staff return... 18 سبتمبر، 2024 Police charge relative with second-degree murder in Devon... 17 سبتمبر، 2024
