The advisory comes just a day after residents were asked to avoid swimming at Oakfield Park Beach in Oakfield, Penhorn Beach in Dartmouth and Bedford’s Sandy Lake Beach until further notice. Kidston Beach in Halifax and Albro Lake Beach in Dartmouth have been tested with high bacteria levels in the water and residents are advised to avoid swimming at these areas. Lifeguards will remain on site to advise against swimming and the water will be tested regularly. High bacteria levels can be caused by a number of factors, including dogs, birds, wildlife and impacts from climate change, such as high temperatures, lower water levels and recent heavy rainfall. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Mounties look for 86-year-old man missing in Inverness County next post Lawsuit against Nova Scotia for flood response says boy’s death ‘preventable’ You may also like Serial killer Allan Legere, New Brunswick’s ‘Monster of... 2026 Gas prices to change as energy board invokes... 10 مارس، 2026 Operating rooms closed at Victoria General after weekend... 10 مارس، 2026 Halifax considers asking province to create centralized dangerous... 10 مارس، 2026 RCMP in N.S. continue cannabis crackdown with more... 10 مارس، 2026
