HRM says high bacteria levels have resulted in a water quality advisory at Kinap Beach __Stock Photo CANADAHALIFAX news Water quality advisory issued for Kinap Beach by admin 2 أغسطس، 2024 written by admin 2 أغسطس، 2024 105 By CityNews Halifax Staff Halifax Regional Municipality has issued a water quality advisory for Kinap Beach due to high bacteria levels in the water. That means people are being advised not to swim at the supervised beach in Porters Lake until further notice. High bacteria levels can be caused by a number of factors, including dogs, birds, wildlife or from high temperatures, lower water levels and recent heavy rainfall. In a release, the municipality says staff will continue testing the water and will lift the advisory when levels reach Health Canada guidelines. While a recreational water quality advisory is in effect, use of the beach area is at the user’s own risk. HRM says lifeguards will remain on-site during regular hours to advise against swimming. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Heat warnings issued for areas west of HRM with a hot, sticky long weekend in the forecast next post You may also like Investigation into homicide of pregnant Halifax woman continues... 24 نوفمبر، 2024 First Canadian case of more severe mpox strain... 2024 Wind and rainfall warnings issued for parts of... 2024 New poll shows Houston’s PCs maintaining big lead... 22 نوفمبر، 2024
