More charges laid in 2022 murder of Digby County man

A second man has been charged with murder in connection to the killing of Vernon Doucet in 2022.

On Tuesday, officers arrested 33-year-old Dillion Burton Deveau of Yarmouth and charged him with second-degree murder, the RCMP said in a news release.

Last month police charged 33-year-old Tyler Langford of Weymouth with second-degree murder.

Both men have made court appeareancs and will be back in a Digby courtroom on July 18.

According to the Mounties, Doucet was found severely injured after a home invasion on Feb. 16, 2022 at his home in Concession, Nova Scotia. He later died in hospital.

The RCMP says investigators do not believe anyone else was involved in the killing.
