This is only the second time the province has increased the reward for a specific missing persons case It involves Devon Sinclair Marsman, a 16-year-old who was last seen at a house in Spryfield on February 24th, 2022. Described as about five feet tall and 100 pounds with blue-green eyes and short dark hair, Devon was wearing a hooded sweater and jeans when last seen. The African Nova Scotian teen’s case was added to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program in late November of 2022. That reward is now $250,000 after the government increased the amount by $100,000 in an effort to encourage people to come forward with tips. Justice Minister Brad Johns said in a release that “no tip is too small” and those with information should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090. People who come forward with information must provide their name and contact information and may be called to testify in court and all calls will be recorded.
