Regional police continue to investigate an assault with a weapon in connection to a stolen vehicle earlier this month.

On March 8, at roughly 3:30 a.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle in Timberlea and shortly after, HRP found the stolen black Volkswagen Golf and attempted to stop it on Chain Lake Drive in Halifax.

Police say the driver did not stop and as the police cruiser followed, a dark coloured Ford pickup truck struck the officer’s vehicle, causing it to leave the road.

The two suspect vehicles then fled the area and the officer was not physically injured.

At roughly 11:40 p.m. officers found the Volkswagen Golf parked and unoccupied near Grand Haven Boulevard.

The second suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored Ford F150 with an extended cab, Nova Scotia license plate GKV546.

Investigators are also looking to identify a woman who was seen driving the Ford pickup truck believed to be involved in the incident.

She is described as a white woman with long blonde hair, approximately 5’8 tall, with a medium build and wearing black clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
