John Lohr says new public housing is coming to Kentville with construction to begin later this year. The Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister says the new two-storey, 11-unit building will provide homes for up to 25 people with the first floor fully accessible. The new housing units are part of the 222 units announced in September at a cost of nearly $59 million with other funds coming from federal sources. Of those new units, 150 will be built in the Halifax area in Lower Sackville, at Ahern Manor on Gottingen Street and Uniacke Square. The province says details of the other public housing sites will be announced in the coming days. Lohr says the site of the new housing in Kentville will be at Hilltop Manor on Oakdene Avenue with construction to be completed in fall of 2025. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post ‘Absolutely incredible’: Nova Scotia’s Ben Proudfoot wins Oscar for short documentary next post Halifax police searching for a suspect after man is held up at knifepoint You may also like No charges will be laid in Halifax Transit... 19 نوفمبر، 2024 WestJet brings back Halifax to Paris summer service... 19 نوفمبر، 2024 Early voter turnout down compared to 2021 as... 19 نوفمبر، 2024 Former N.S.
