السياسية بداية لعهد جديد من حرية الممارسة الدينية وذلك بعد تعرضهم للقمع مدى عشرات السنوات في ظل حكم عمر البشير. داخل الأزقة الترابية المنتشرة في أم درمان، قرب الخرطوم، لا يمكن رؤية كنيسة القس يوسف زمغيلة من الطريق. فالكنيسة تتخذ من حديقة منزل أحد الأصدقاء مقرا، وتضم بضعة مقاعد حديدية ومنبرا وصلبانا رُسمت بعجل على أعمدة يستند اليها سقف مؤلف من ألواح خشبية. ويقول القس اللوثري “المقر السابق تم تدميره لأننا لم نكن نملك الأوراق اللازمة. دائما ما كانوا يرفضون … لذا استخدمنا أرض أحد جيراننا”. وكان الامتناع عن منح الأقلية المسيحية في السودان تراخيص لبناء كنائس، أداة القمع الرئيسية على مدى سنوات. ومن أساليب القمع الأخرى فرض الدولة الثقافة الإسلامية التامة في المدارس وأماكن العمل، رغم أن الدستور السابق ينص على حرية الممارسة الدينية. ويقول جيكوب بولس، المعلم البالغ من العمر 28 عاما في أم درمان “لا يمكن لشبابنا وأطفالنا التعلم عن المسيحية لأن البيئة بأكملها تُعنى فقط بالمسلمين”. وبحسب أرقام حكومية يمثل المسيحيون 3 بالمئة فقط من عدد سكان السودان البالغ 40 مليون نسمة، رغم أن المسؤولين تصعيديا في أعقاب انفصال الجنوب ذي الغالبية المسيحية عام 2011. “الأيام الحالكة ولّت” وقال الأسقف الأنغليكاني للخرطوم إزكييل كوندو “شعرت السلطات بأن الكنائس والجمعيات الخيرية المسيحية تدعم استقلال جنوب السودان”. واضاف جالسا في مكتبه قبالة كنيسته الكبيرة في وسط الخرطوم “الدولة طبقت باستمرار استراتيجية لإضعاف الكنيسة”. وفي تقريرها عن حرية الممارسة الدينية على مستوى العالم، صنفت جمعية “مساعدة الكنيسة المحتاجة” الاسقفية، السودان في الفئة الأكثر خطورة بين الدول. والرئيس السابق عمر البشير الذي طبق الشريعة الإسلامية بعد توليه الحكم في انقلاب عام 1989، تنحى في نيسان/أبريل هذا العام إثر موجة احتجاجات على خلفية الأزمة الاقتصادية المتفاقمة في البلاد. وأدى مجلس سيادي غالبيته من المدنيين، اليمين الدستورية الأسبوع الماضي بموجب اتفاق بين المجلس العسكري الحاكم وممثلي حركة الاحتجاج. وتضمن “الإعلان الدستوري” فترة انتقالية من 3 سنوات، واستبعد حكم الشريعة. وأعطى ذلك، إضافة إلى رياح التغيير الديموقراطي في السودان، المسيحيين وأقليات أخرى الأمل في حصول التعددية الدينية على حماية أفضل في المرحلة المقبلة. وقال القس يوسف “نأمل بحصول تغيير. المسيحيون كانوا في التظاهرات، كان لديهم سبب وجيه … أعتقد أن الأيام الحالكة قد ولت”. وكان يجلس إلى جانبه في الكنيسة المتواضعة القس متى بطرس كومي، وأبدى تفاؤلا مماثلا. وقال “أقله الآن، يعترف حكامنا بالمسيحيين كجزء من هذا البلد. المسيحيون صلّوا من أجل هذا التغيير لعقود، نحن سعداء لأن هذا التغيير قد أتى”. وفي مؤشر ايجابي آخر، تم تعيين امرأة مسيحية في المجلس السيادي المكون من 11 عضوا من المدنيين والعسكريين، والذي أدى اليمين في 21 آب/اغسطس. ونظم المسيحيون تظاهرة احتجاج في الخرطوم الأسبوع الماضي للمطالبة بالمساواة في الحقوق، وهو ما كان من الصعب تصوره أثناء يخفف المجلس السيادي الجديد الضغط عن المسيحيين، يقول إن الأولوية يجب أن تكون إحلال السلام في السودان. وقال “وثيقة بمفردها لا تخفف معاناة الشعب. فمن أجل أن تنجح هذه الفترة الانتقالية يجب أن يحل السلام.
