One person sent to hospital after Dartmouth shooting

Halifax Regional Police released very little detail on a Monday morning shooting in Dartmouth.

Officers were called to the intersection of Catherine St. and Lahey Rd. around 3:10 a.m. Monday morning after receiving a report of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, Police found a person who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The person was taken from the scene to the hospital for treatment. That person’s condition is unknown.

The Integrated General Investigation and Forensic Identification Units have been brought in to assist the investigation.

Police indicated that more information would be released when it was available.
