Halifax police look for suspects involved in Monday stabbing

Regional police are investigating a stabbing that took place in Halifax on Monday night.

According to HRP, officers received a report of an injured person in the area of the 2100 block of Barrington Street where an altercation took place before 9 p.m.

Police say two men were in a dispute with the victim, who they did not know.

One of the men stabbed the victim before taking off on foot and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect with the knife is described as a man in his 40s, approximately 6’2″ tall while the second suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, with grey facial hair and wearing a green camouflage coat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
