The investigation continues after tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from a Cole Harbour pawn shop on Friday.

The RCMP says on Friday night, a man walked into the shop on Cole Harbour Rd., pulled out a hammer, smashed some display cases and made off with about $60,000 in jewelry.

Nobody was reported to be hurt – police say about 10 people were in the store at the time.

The suspect is described as a white man around 5’8″ with a slim build. He was wearing black, including a black balaclava, and white shoes.
