The first took place Sunday morning as officers responded to a robbery in the area of Martins Point Road where a man stole jewelry from a victim, who was known to him. According to HRP, the man struck the victim with what was believed to be a firearm, then fled the area in a vehicle with the jewelry, leaving the victim with non-life threatening injuries. The man was later arrested by Mounties in Timberlea without further incident. Corey Flannigan, 27, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Tuesday to face multiple charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats, among others. The second robbery took place on Monday night as officers responded to the area of Bayers Road and Romans Avenue where a man approached another man, who was not known to him. Police say he assaulted the victim, stole his property and then fled on foot, leaving the victim with non-life threatening injuries.
