On Dec. 14 over the noon hour, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to an alleged assault at the office on Herring Cove Rd. Police said a man went into the office, assaulted two people he knew and then damaged the office before leaving. Liberal MLA Brendan Maguire has since publicly stated it was his office that was scene to the incident. According to HRP, 47-year-old Blair Jordan Macdonald has been charged with assault and property damage.
