Woman faces charges after police pursuit in Halifax

A 24-year-old woman was expected in court on Friday after allegedly leading police on a chase in South End Halifax.

According to Halifax Regional Police, officers tried to pull over a suspected impaired driver near Brunswick And Prince streets just before 4 a.m. Friday. Police said the driver refused to stop and the pursuit was called off.

The suspect allegedly tried to hit the officers with her vehicle but missed, and the driver eventually crashed into a parked car on Tower Rd.

The suspect, 24-year-old Haley Nicole Quinn Is facing charges including impaired driving and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon. She was also arrested on two outstanding warrants with other police agencies, related to theft, break and enter and stolen property.
